about
Its a happy song about how sick of chasing accountants for invoices i get! It's a regular problem self-employed folk have so thought id call them out.
Went in a real nice studio in Hackney with some good friends.
All came together beautifully & was recorded in 5 hours! :) Took longer to mix & master obviously! Enjoy!
lyrics
Ooooh, Where are my wages?
Don’t you know? That it brings me low.
Ooooh, Where are my wages?
I worked hard, but I can’t use my card.
Oooooh, why haven’t you paid me?
Does that money look better, in your bank account?
Oooooh, why haven’t you paid me?
Can’t pay my rent, don’t want to live in a tent.
Time goes on… More checking…. Nope… More emails… Payment run? Wish I had a gun.
Ooooooh, I’m so sick of asking!
Remittance advice? You’ve got my balls in a vice.
Ooooooh, I’m so sick of asking!
Jesus wept, are you just inept?
Time goes on… I keep checking… I keep asking…. I keep emailing……….
Then, one day, one day….
Wooooooooo! I’ve got my wages!
It took ages. But it’s in my account.
Wooooooooo! I’ve got my wages!
We can get on with life. Without this pointless strife.
Wooooooooo! I’ve got my wages!
Let’s put on some dub. Maybe go down the pub.
I’d like to say its been nice working with you…. Don’t work too hard now…. See you next month….
